Default Coolant change GX345

I feel I should change the coolant in the 20 HP Kawasaki. I haven't changed it yet in the 2.5 years of ownership.

According to the OM, it looks like I need to drain the system from a spot not only hard to get to, but that requires taking the hood off as well (I realize this isn't the best description. I am hoping for GX345 owners to chime in as well).

Is it possible to drain from the reservoir? Or sucking the old coolant out?

Thanks.

You just can't get at the hose on the head with the hood on. Take it off, pull the hose and take radiator cap off. It drains fast. You should flush it out before refilling it.

So once the hood is off, then it is not too hard?

Thanks!
