Default MTD Ventzki

Hello!

First I posted the pictures in a wrong thread. (I covered Axels thread - sorry)

[/QUOTE]

@D-Dog: Yes I have some chickens, but they are not for Wienerwald. The "Altsteirer" are an old kind of hens. I have them just for fun.

I also think, the buyer of my tractor will have a lot of fun with it, and his way will be worth the distance.

Today I am collecting all the manuals and things I have got with the tractor. (I have a german translation of the owners operating manual too. Unfortunately the quality of my copy is not good, but there is a funny man sitting on the tractor)

Greetings!
Altsteirer

Hi Altsteirer.
I am in Australia and have an MTD Ventzki single furrow plow for my 990. Do you know if Ventzki is a company associated with MTD and if so are/were they based in Europe? I haven't seen the name on here before, but am interested to find out more about where my plough may have been made.
regards
Victa

Hi Victa!
Greetings from Austria (without kangaroos) to Australia!

MTD was founded in 1932 in America by three german engineers.

Ventzki has been a german company (i think, founded 1882 by August Ventzki) who made (steam-)ploughs and so. (see this link please - at the end, there is the address of old ventzki: http://porschediesel.stereofx.org/_m...reff-Prosp.pdf ) In 1970 MTD bought lawn mower division from Ventzki. So I think, they did a cooperation as Ventzki MTD. In Germany still a company Ventzki exists, but the product range today is complete different from old Ventzki.

There is also a MTD Germany division, if you have concrete questions, ask them: http://www.mtd-garden.eu/Brand_Home....csp=de&lang=de

Spareparts for ventzki ploughs maybe here: http://www.kramp.com/pdf/de_DE/71.pdf

Greetings!

Thank you for the information and links Altsteirer, very interesting. It is surprising how far some of this equipment has been distributed over the years.
regards
Victa.

Altsteirer, thanks for those links. I never saw any of what we call garden tractors in my 9 years in Germany. Lots of two wheeled tractors in the vineyards though.
