Default 'Professional' vs YT4000

Trying to compare these two models... could you please provide some insight on the differences between them. $400 price difference at the moment. Thank you!

20" back wheels vs 18.5". 76lb diff in weight. I'm looking at both, too. The "Pro" model is supposed to be more "heavy duty" but I don't know.

Glad to know someone else is wondering the same thing. Hopefully we'll get an answer in these great forums! I didn't realize there was 76lbs difference... that really points to a heavier frame, doesn't it?

I'm trying to decide between those two models and the Cub Cadet 1046VT.

Any one with any idea out there... we'd much appreciate your help!

If i had looked around a little more it would have been a John Deere LA175. I like the ys4500 i got but i hate that swept back mulching crap of a deck.

Craftsman Professional is made by MTD for 2010 (read your other thread for my thoughts).
The DYT4000 is made by AYP and actually is more like my 08 Craftsman Pro.

Pick your poison.
