Default John Deere 111 wiring diagram

Hello professionals, and knowledgeable backyarders. I am hoping someone can help me out here. I pulled an "idiot" and melted the wiring in a recently acquired JD 111 Lawn Mower. I love the looks of this thing and was told that the engine runs in it, all I need is an alternator (which I am tryin to figure out which one I need also) but here's the prob.

I really need a wiring diagram so I can try to rebuild the wiring in this thing. I have looked all over the internet and would prefer not to have to buy a manual that costs 130 bucks?? Can anyone help me out with a wiring diagram for the starting/ignition for this beast? I would love you forever (if you so wish)

Thanks
Shoofly

Shoofly, post me the serial number and if it's a 111 or a 111L, I'll post a wiring scan when I get in tomorrow night

Here's what's on the Plate on the Side of the hood area

M00111S302418

111 Lawn Tractor

Hood only says 111 on it so I am guessing that means it is not an L

Motor I think is a swap...Briggs 28R707 1120-E1 030825ZD

Thanks again!

See if this gets you started, it's a PDF file of several of the wiring pages for your tractor.
Just click the link below, choose the "begin download" in the yellow box and either view on line or download the file to your computer

Thanks a ton joecdeere. it was a very stupid mistake of mine and I am so happy I can begin to rectify it =) It was one of those moments where you know something bad is going to happen...and a moment later a very large and smelly cloud of smoke plumes through the air and you are left cursing and throwing tools haha.

You're a life saver!

I've been told by a very reputable and qualified electrician that all the wiring and components in any electrical circuit are filled with smoke at the factory during assembly. The smoke is what makes these things work. If you somehow let the smoke out, it quits working.
Sounds funny, but I know it's true, because I've demonstrated this many times myself.
Good luck on getting the smoke back in the wiring!

I have the same one but mine works fine but i noticed a wire that comes from under the starter to the dash and has a what looks like a fusible link or something that has burned and split in half but the tractor runs fine. I was wondering if from the wiring diagrahm that it is from the stator to the solenoid to charge the battery? Can i buy this wire seperate?
