I have a yanmar 273 that needs some engine parts, it is a ym273 and the engine plate says 2w90, it's a 2 cylinder diesel.
the previous owner let it sit outside and the exhaust swallowed some water. I need to find pistons/rings and one sleeve. one piston was all the way at the top so the sleeve should be ok. I also need some rod bearings while its apart and gaskets. I have not been able to find many rescources online. otherwise it seems to be a good tractor. with a nice loader on it. Any leads as to where i can find these parts? -warren |

Welcome to MTF Warren,
The YM273 is a very rare grey market tractor and very few were imported to this country. Sure doesn't make it a bad tractor, just a model difficult to find parts for. You may want to try: Len Sheaffer - Sheaffer town and country tractor www.sheaftractor.net - and: 513-877-3000-Little Miami Trading Company - http://www.LMTCompany.com Let us know how you make out. Very rare is an understatement Mark. You know how long I've been in this market and I have never seen one. The only way we could help is with OEM numbers to cross from to our parts catalog. We show a grand total of 1 (yep, one) part listed for the model, and that is a rim. The scarcity results in a lack of cross references.....we may be able to access parts, but we wouldn't know what was needed without the OEM part numbers. Don't have, and have never seen, the OEM parts manual for a 273.
