They finally delivered my new x748 this afternoon. The dealer is still waiting for parts for the three point hitch that I added, but I had them deliver it any way. I won't need the three point until it's time to till the garden, I'll have them install it before then. I couldn't believe how much quieter the mower deck is than the one on my 445, can't wait to mow with it.
Here are the required pictures. |

Great looking tractor! It looks ready to get dirty.

I did trade the 445 in, the pics were just before he loaded it on the trailer. I wanted some pictures side by side for size comparison. They are very similar, the 445's wheelbase is shorter. Sitting in the seat the x748 seems a lot bigger, the hood is wider and blocks more of the front view.

Andyb, congrats on the new tractor! My 318 has a replacement 48 inch deck on it and I couldn't believe how quiet it was compared to the 46 inch on my 212!

Congrats on your Big X, you won't quit grinning for a week. Looks like you've got a couple of good "lawn care technical assistants" that will be fighting you for seat time.
Enjoy.

Thanks for the comments. As you can see in the pictures, my grass is a long way from needing mowing. Come on spring!!
I played with the full time 4wd a little, coming down the steepest hill in the yard and doing a u-turn back up the hill. The front end doesn't slide at all, really impressive. Can't wait to give it a real workout. It is supposed to rain the next four days, so I won't get much seat time. My first job with it will probably be pulling my lawn roller while the ground is wet and soft. I still need to modify the hoses on my front quick hitch from the 445 to make it work on the x748. |

Grats on the x748, if I lived near you I'd be talking to that dealer on your old 445, looks like you take good care of them!
