The dealer still has my new to me 455. He said he could install the mulching kit for an extra 300 bucks.
I never plan to get a bagger and don' really want to have rows of grass left on my lawn. Should I get this? Or should I just get gator blades later. Do I need the mulching kit for the gator blades to be effective? Thanks |

It depends
If you are able to cut the grass at just the right time all the time, you don't need to munch it. But if it rains for a few days and you know it will get the kit with your new tractor, John

Myself I like the mulch kit and I use gator blades on a 54C deck. In the fall I mulch up the leafs until they just disappear. The gators will contact the plastic insert on the mulch kit but won't cut through it. slkpk
