Default New 2010 LA125

Hey everyone. As some of you may know I have been trying to decide on a John Deere 100 series tractor. Well my decision was made easier this past weekend as Home Depot Canada offered their "No Payments and No Interest for one year" promotion. So I went down to one of the stores this past friday and purchased a 2010 LA125 with a bagger kit. I wasnt able to pickup the tractor untill yesterday though as the home depot was waiting for the local john deere dealer to come to the store and do the p.d.i. on them. I also went to the dealer and bought the enhanced mulch kit as well as some high lift blades. I must say that the 100 series, although they are the entry level, light duty john deere models, they seem to be well made and have a great fit and finish. Also I think that they are very attractive looking tractors. Hopefully this LA125 will be as trouble free as my brother in laws 2006 125 that he uses comercially and has over 500 hours and has never had the tranny serviced.

I just registered my warranty on line, so they will be sending me a John Deere Hat as well. That's what it says on the sign that comes attached to the steering wheel that you can see in some of the pics.

Nice ride! I won't be far behind you, but I'm waiting for the HD Canada rebate offer to come out in late March or early April. On a $2000-$2500 outdoor power equipment purchase, there's usually a $200-$300 gift card included which will take care of my 10L cart purchase :-).

Looking at Olympic coverage the past few weeks, it's looks like the grass cutting season is just around the corner for you guys. We have a good couple of months of winter left out east here.

Good luck and enjoy!

Hey, 03eunos your right about the grass cutting season here. I have already seen some homeowners out cutting there lawns, as well as few aerations. The ground is still a bit soggy though. I live in Vancouver currently and its funny how last year we had the most snow here on record for this city, then this year when we needed it for the Olympics we get record setting warm weather and no snow. I saw people with there kids in january walking to school in flip flops, and guys outside with no shirts on. Its crazy, the city is surrounded by monsterous mountains and they are all like 90% green with snow only at the very peak. We have a local ski hill here called grouse mountain and you can see the large clearcut area that is the ski resort from anywhere in the city and in the last week it went from mostly snow with some bare patches to completley bare. Oh well, I must say I think they did a good job keeping the games on course. They were trucking in snow around the clock from further up north.

It's a nice hat too, says "John Deere Owner" in small yellow stitching on the side.
