Default Is a H16XL a med frame Bolens?

There are 2 Bolens a H16XL and a H16 listed on Craigs list for sale and I wanted to find out if they were a tube frame like my g-10 and 850 or if they were what is called the med frame(tube frame) or large frame? Thanks for any help I can get on these.

The H16 is a tube frame.I don't know much about the H16XL,but I believe it is a medium frame, certainly not a large frame.

As Maynard said, the H16 is a tube frame.
The H16XL is a "med frame", which came along later, and has stamped steel sides and cross members. See the pic below, from tha H16XL parts manual.

what steevo said plus, the XL series later in the 80s morphed into the duratrac/eliminator series, the GT2000, GT18 or GT1800 and a few others

same frame with upgraded transaxles, engines etc

to what the others said. I have an H16. It is a hydro tube frame. Big Tecumseh OH160 engine. Great tractor. All implements from your other tube frames will fit and you will have the drive pedal and hydro lift like on your 1476 large frame.
