Some of the Craftsman tractors had a belt diagram on the bottom side of the foot boards.

You should be ablet to figure it out form all the diagrams liste for your tractor. You can figure it out from the parts diagram. They are very self explanitory. If it does not rub and goes on without any slop you have it.

Thats a varidrive. I dont have a diagram to send you. and I dont think there is one out there. but I'll try and talk you through it. You have 2 belts pri and secondary. primary is from engine to varidrive secondary from varidrive to idler pullys to trans pully. secondary goes on first primary last. the guide on the trans will have to be removed 2 bolts 1 easy to get to 1 not so easy....a word of advise make sure the varidrive is good cause its hard to get you maybe

These old varidrives are great units but parts are getting hard to get.

If I was there I could walk you through it but trying to tell you is hard. There is not alot of room there....

I'll keep looking I have some older manuels around here. if i find anything that may help Ill scan it and post it for you

This is also listed as-Model # 917252641

* CRAFTSMAN LTV/11 LAWN TRACTOR
Model # 917252641

http://www.managemyhome.com/mmh/lis_...M/L0806107.pdf

Don't know if it's the same though and I don't really have time to compare since I'm at the library.

"Vari-Drive" means it has two belts and in between both of them ,it has a variable pitch sheave on the device the 2 belts go to in the center of the tractor,thats is what "varies" the speed,by changing the diameter of the pulleys and how deep in the sheaves the belts ride..they are known to be troublesome..but when they work right,they are a good setup..
