I have an L100 riding lawn mower purchased in 2000. The lower chute for the bagger attachment is needing renewed but I can't find the part. The damaged chute has a part number of GX20399. My local JD dealer looked it up and found it has been replaced with an upgrade. Problem is, the new part does not fit the deck of my mower. The shape of the deck on new mowers is slightly different. Anyone know where I may still be able to find one of the old ones? Thanks!

mwsparks, let me know if you get an answer. I have the exact same problem. According to one of the OEM sites, the GY20423 chute is supposed to be the replacement, but it doesn't fit correctly. So for now, I have the old one hanging in place by a couple of bungee cords :-) Thanks,

I'll let you know if I find anything out. So far no luck. Thank goodness for duct tape and bungy cords! The mower has had a lot of use and abuse over the years but I can't see replacing it yet as the thing just keeps running. Thanks for the reply. I thought I was the only one with this problem.......

Hi Guys. Could some one send me a picture of the differences to info@keepingitgreen.com. We've sold plenty of the GY20423's over the years and I haven't had anyone tell me they were not right. At first glance I would have to say GX20399 is the bare chute. GX20399 will sub to GY20423 but appears to be the same chute with attaching parts included. If GX20399 is indeed the part needed, there may be some old stock available. Send me some pics and let me research it. Thanks, Mike.

Was there ever an answer to this? I have both parts here, and they are not the same.
