Any tips on steaming frozen green beans? I usually overcook them.

mmmm butter, Herbanjo (wife) has a steamer...steam for 2-3 minutes for full flavor and still retains crunch factor!

Spread them out on a cookie sheet, drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle with some salt, pepper, maybe Montreal Steak Seasoning if you like, then put them in the oven. Now THAT'LL get you an MMM-mmm good!

Then, try that with asparagus now that it's in season.

I only eat green beans done "Southern" style as I call it. Cut up 1/4 to 1/2 lb of bacon and brown in a cast iron dutch oven with some chopped onions, add 4 or 5 bags of frozen cut green beans, cover and cook over low heat for several hours. Salt and pepper to taste and just before serving, galze by stirring in 2 to 3 tablespoons of bacon grease (you save your bacon grease, don't you?). Serve with some fresh chopped onion on top, delish!! :thThumbsU
