I've run the first job on it. I machined fixture plates, and programmed it to machine a good sized run of u-joint hubs. The machining part of the programming went very well. I got up to speed quickly, considering I was ganging 20 parts, times two pallets. Now, programming the pallet scheduler was another matter It gave us fits, but after a couple days, we muddled through it. The pallet shuttle is extremely fast, especially when considering the weight it's throwing around. Impressive machine. I'll get some pics, and perhaps some video next week.

Here's some pics of the machine all set-up. It's at least twice the size of our previously biggest machine.

This is the inside of the area where the 12 pallets are stored.

The outside.

This is the shuttle that moves and delivers the pallets to their programmed destinations. Super fast and handles them like they're eggs.

This shows the level of detail in the tool file description. On the left are picture graphics and on the right, a written description.

Bet you need sunglasses to work around that machine. The lights were surely hug with care, and a great deal of thought for the customer.

Don't worry- he's prolly just charging you 1/2 off a rate of 3 times normal .

The CNC machine looks great- ( oh, and the light too Ken) Got any pics of the u- joints you were making?

Gotta love the Nexus operating system, windows based and very detailed.

I really like how it stores tool info for later use i.e. where you change jobs allot for short runs like I do, unlike the Mazatrol I have on mine.

All I can say is congrats and I'm jealous, it should give you great service.

Nice lighting also.
