I have wanted an offroad trailer like the Mountaingoat trailers, but I couldn't bring myself to drop $900 on one. I aquired an axle and springs from an uncle, so I built one. It is simpler, without walking axles, but with the 12 inch tires, it rolls over anything, and it is tall enough to not hang up. I posted a photo a little while back, but I have since then painted it and built a tailgate. In the photo, I have it loaded with 26 buckets of flooring adhesive. Most of the buckets are full, and weigh somewhere around 50-60 pounds each. I haven't pulled this load around because of its instability, but I have had the trailer loaded more than once with heaping loads of firewood, and it handled it well. So did the atv- I was surprised at how well it handles the weight. I also pull the trailer behind my Kubota tractor.
