Moving snow going into the sugar shack. Needless to say time to buy a snowblower. Click image for larger version

I hate this thread. Why? Because I don't necessarily "need" a tractor but I desperately want one. This thread doesn't help.

I was in that same boat, so I just went out and got myself a smaller tractor before the significant other could say no

But seriously, these pictures are great! I was told once that owning a tractor is like carrying a pocket knife. You don't realize how many things you need it for until you actually have it handy. I tried to explaining that to my girlfriend, but she didn't seem to see it quite the same lol

I was camping with a friend and he questioned me carrying a knife everywhere- and it's just a folder I don't EDC a Leatherman anymore. I was able to run off around 30 unique things I'd done with the knife over the last 3 days after thinking about it for awhile.

I actually consider that if we move again *shudder* there needs to be enough land that I can justify a tractor... it's not because I want land anymore, it's because I need my CUT! If I were living in a zero-lot-line-McMansion I would require one garage bay for my tractor.

Mine just said "do whatever the f_^ you want.
I took that as permission. I was wrong. She got over it. I think.

Spent some time at the farm today, started by pushing back the brush I cut Monday. Just hope I don't have any flats, as it was mostly Honey Locust!

Then to the picnic table shade, some more gravel around the table & a bit of dirt work.

After that, to the south pasture to cut a double trunked Red Oak tree that had fallen across a deep ditch. The second log is directly behind the first. The little 790 pulled the first 18" x 30' oak log up out of the ditch, but the second one hung in the bottom, had to cut it in half. And pull each piece out one at a time. They're out where I can get to them with the pickup & trailer now.

A little fence repair & that was enough for today!
