Got the 318LGT home to switch over to winter clothes and get it cleaned up. The underside of the deck was hardly any build up. I used the Meg-Mo's on it all year without a mulch kit and it did a great job on the leafs. slkpk

I have had a set on a JD 314 for several years now. Everything they advertise I find to be accurate. I didn't use it for a while as it got noisy, I wondered if it was the meg-mo blades getting noisy but it turned out to be the main drive pulley and shaft. I put in a different shaft and pulley and it sounds like new again. Believe it or not, I mowed with it about a week ago. It was rather warm out and I went out and raked the leaves out of the asparagus patch and a couple of flower beds, got out the 314 and chopped up the leaves.

My MC519 Cart & Powerflo came in today and I'm looking forward to using the Meg-Mo's with it. I really don't foresee any problems as they side discharge very well. Will be putting it together tomorrow. slkpk

One of the new kids on the block here..
After reading all 15 pages of Meg-mo systems stuff, I called Roy and he said to come on down and he would make me up some systems.. Went to see him yesterday. Came home with a set for the wife's 44 inch deck and one for my 50.
Put mine on.. today we mowed our half mile long lane for the first time this year. The low spots were really wet and the grass was about 8 inches. She could not cut it with her sharp regular blades.. she got a big wad stuck under the deck and stopped the blades.. I had no problem, one pass and it was down to 2 inches which is pretty short, but she is the boss as it seems...
I will put her set on tomorrow..

Okay, I couldn't resist giving these a shot My regular Deere blades are worn out so I just called Meg-mo and ordered a set. Should be here in a week or so.

How are they in thick grass? I would hope that double the tip speed might improve the cut?

(Using Gator) Get too much clumping, even though not wet, replaced mulching cover with side discharge...not much improvement.

Meg-Mo blades worked great for me in tall grass last year. Check out this thread/video to see some of the grass and the results.

Mowing some tall grass with my X748 (video)

I think you will be happy with their cutting performance in most conditions.

Good luck!
