For those that didnt see my other thread i just bought a 2012 GT6000, 42" two stage snowblower, wheel weights, wheel chains, sleeve hitch and a box blade. First thing i did was spread 24 yards of 6A rock on my previously totally dirt driveway. Well this got me kinda nervous about snowblowing next winter, don't want to damage my brand new snowblower and don't want rocks all over the yard. Its ~1200 so cleaning rocks out of the yard would be next to impossible.
So i started looking for some options before next winter comes and came across http://snowblowerskids.com/ Figured for $29.99 why not give them a try. These things are beefy!!! Check these things out. Stock skid on top, ARMORskids on bottom ![]() ARMORskids on left and stock skid on right ![]() Stock skid ![]() ARMORskid ![]() Pics dont do these justice. Hard to take pics of these things when they are jet black. Cant waite to try them. Even if they help a little bit its worth the $29.99 that they costed me.

That sure is a chunk of steel. Can your blower even move that extra weight?

I put those on my snowblower last year. The factory ones were worn after only 2 seasons of use

Yes, they work good. I wouldn't hesitate to buy them again. I'm on concrete. The actual runner is fairly wide compared to most.
