Default Will a 44" Front Blade fit an X485?

I'd like to use the 44" front blade from my X320 on my "new" X485. Anyone know if it will work?

Thanks!

Not without modification to the blade or hitch.

The blade won't cover the width of the tractor, not to mention when angled.

Might be better to sell the 44" blade to cover the cost of a used 54" blade that will fit the X485... There is probably a way to do it if you can fab up some pieces (and extensions for the blade).

I don't think there is a huge market here for blades. Some years we get measurable snow, some we don't. Dealer didn't even want it with the X320 as trade in. Not many used blades crop up on CL close by either. But I always watch pretty close...

I see what you mean... I had problems trying to find a used blade in SW Ohio. The fun thing I see about making it fit is that you'll have to come up with a way to lift it.

Ok - new question. Will a blade from a '98 455 fit on my X485?

Yes, with some minor mods. You need longer hoses on the angling cylinder and 90 degree elbows on the ends of the hoses.
Also you can not use the quick hitch from a 455 with the mower deck install.
