1. The no email setting reduces transactions
2. Use the pull-down to select the other 3 options (instant, daily, weekly)

Go back into the User CP and click on List Subscriptions under Subscribed Threads. This will give you a list of currently subscribed threads. Put a check in the box of each thread you want to change. Then, in the pull down menu at the bottom of the list, choose the option you want, i.e. Delete Subscription or Change Notification.

Now for the future threads. In the User CP, click on Edit Options under Settings and Options. Scroll down to Messaging and Options. Find Default Thread Subscription Mode and select an option from the pull down window.

Hope this helps.

DJ thanks, I thought he was in the Thread Tools area! Didn't realize he was in the user CP!

to stop new subscriptions, got to CP then Options. change the default subsricption to do not subscribe. you still ahve to manually unsub from threads you already subscribe to, but this way will stop any new subscriptions.

So the problem is that you're still getting notifications? If so, go back into the first part of my writeup above and stop the current subscriptions by deleting them.
