Default What Brand?

Just received this dinosaur today. Has no identifying markings on it anywhere. Anyone out there have any suggestions as to who manufactured this monster?

Well, after about 50 pulls, she started and ran terrific. I let her run for around 5 minutes or so to hopefully run some of the old, stale gas out of her. I then changed the oil with fully synthetic. Will need some tinkering, but considering what I paid for it, will be well worth it. Still no guesses out there as to who made her? Oh well, I'll carry on with my latest project.

It has a 5HP Briggs on it. Been repowered at some time. She is an old timer for sure. Heck, I don't know. What I do know is it starts and runs very well. Some tinkering and adjustments are in order for it to be perfect. We shall see.

After looking at a few photos, I have nothing other than guesses. Wizard or Garner.

I will say a Springfield by Quick manufacturing by the looks of the wheels , handlebars, framework and the clutch engagement. The engine obviously is a replacement. Year is somewhere around a 51.

Thank you. It is a start, as I do not know much at all about 2 wheeled tractors.

Here is an adv. for a Springfield by Quick Mfg. Although the wheel are different on this one I have seen your style of wheels on one. Look at the bottom 1/3 of the handlebars and framework with 2 attachment holes in the front and the clutch pulley placement and size. There are some e-bay ads for manuals but don't know the exact model yours is but they might work.

Farmineered???? Now that is some slick advertising! I like the way the sickle bar is offset all of mine are centered on the tractor. I bet being offset helps make nice neat rows of hay. Good luck with your new toy! Ed

I think its a Springfield too. That engine may not like synthetic though, my experience with that was it gets by the rings and seals and you have to keep adding oil. Won't hurt to try it first though.

Update! Am finally getting around to having the engine professionally mounted and lined up. Hope everything works out okay. Should have it back around the beginning of May! I will keep everyone posted.
