Yikes husqvarna invasion

went to a hardware store thats an ariens dealer.they only had 1 classic LM21 there and all the mowers were ariens mowers that were rebadged huskies.same has been for cratfsman, simplicity and snapper.it seems as time goes on you see more husqvarna based stuff than anything else anymore unless its a top of the line mower.ive even noticed that toro sells rebadged MTD riders.

Just in the last few days I heard something about a recall on mowers made in China with what the commentator said was an odd name (Husqvarna) didn't pay any attention to it as I have no interest in Husqvarna.

My Home Depot stores have Ariens mowers, they are really low end with Kohler engines.

yeah, and the reason why there so high priced is because they have a kawasaki FJ180V and its there own deck.and ariens has already outsourced there lower end snow blowers, which is partially a husqvarna design.and then ive noticed that husqvarna started getting into articulated mowers because of stiga.id say there about 20 years too late because stiga cut bolens off in 91 and thats when the mower market went nuts for the 0 turns

yea... stigas cool.... there older RER's were built like tanks.... now ive heard they'r falling...

as i think....ariens never had very good single stage blowers.... i remember i had one and it just coughed snow out the front and never any out the tube....

but ive used the older ariens mowers and they worked OK ( i know folks are gonna get grindy) but nothing to write home about.....

give me a good ol' LB or older alloybase toro anyday
