the time has come...

i should've done it yesterday...i was already at the vet, and he confirmed what i already knew...terminal...but i wasn't prepared...i was still holding out for a reprieve...

she is a very sweet cat, very good natured...she was already a full grown mature adult when my parents took her in, and that was probably twelve years ago...so she may be in her upper teens, possibly twenty years old...a good run for a cat...she is all white, and purrs when you think about scratching her ears...she was here when i moved home nine years ago to help take care of my Dad, who is now 92...also a good run...

but now it's time to let her go...she is not in great pain, but is obviously not happy or comfortable...and she is not going to get better...ever...so the kind thing to do is to go back to the vet Monday morning...and do what i couldn't' do yesterday...because it's the right thing to do for the cat...

So sorry about your pending task. It's a sad thing to have to make that final decision to such a nice pet. Enjoy her tomorrow, give her some special time and a few great tidbits of her favorite food. Let her know how much you appreciate her for being a great friend for all these years.
