After box blading my entire yardto regrade for water runoff and drainage issues, I was done with the heavy material and needed something to bust up the clumps and finsh grade...I bought a 4' double gang disc...didn't work like I wanted it to.... I had been looking for a small york rake for awhile..... after spending about three hours on the tractor the other night with just the box (no scarficers) and not having much luck.... I was putting the tractor away and had a thought......... I bought this ratchet rake on clearance at TSC for 199 and it was going to be used on my loader when I got done building it...
![]() ![]() I don't really have any before pictures, but it was rough, clumpy and rutted up... now I'm ready for grass seed... ![]() ![]() ![]()

Thanks. I don't think anyone thought it would turn out except me. Lol. I had to get the soupy stuff out while it was dry or I would have had another swamp all this summer too. Still not totally done, need to get the loader hydraulics plumbed in so I can get some top soil. I want to get some seed down quick so I don't have a desert all summer

I bought one of those a week ago from tsc and wish I'd got it when I got the tractor. On the front of my 3400L there is much I can't clean up sapling wise ( up to and including 2 inch saplings) . Hanging vines and buckbrush doesn't stand a chance. Once I've cut or pulled out the saplings/brush I grade the area in reverse using the rake and it cleans the area up nice. Using it in conjunction with my brush grubber for tuff stumps up to 3 inches it makes short work of nasty areas. I only wish I could have afforded this setup 25 years ago then my back would still be in good shape!

That looks great. I have to ask, do you have down pressure on your 3 point or did it work that well with gravity?
