I've been 80 cart hunting for some time but every one I've found is always too far. Finally, not one but two used yard carts were available this past weekend just a few miles down the road. One was a refurbed aluminum tag 80 cart in nice condition, PO sandblasted, powder coat paint and added some kind of bed liner inside the box. The four legged deere decals are not correct.
The other was a nice 7 cart that I couldn't pass up at $50. It had an easy life hauling grandkids around the yard. Now I'd like to tow both at the same time to make less trips to the local (two blocks away) yard waste dump. So how are you hooking them up together? Some kind of homemade bracket or is it one I can order from JD?

You would have to build a homemade rig as I dont think Deere ever made one. Those decals might be the correct ones on that 80 cart I had an aluminum tag 80 with those same decals, it all depends on the year of manufacture.

Does anyone have a picture of bracket used to hook up two steel yard carts?
I don't think a rope will be the way to go.

I have a friend who is really into the old GE electrak tractors and they had a setup for towing multiple carts for work in a factory-warehouse. It was just a simple U shaped piece of flat stock with a draw bar welded to it that bolted to the back of the cart.

I think this pic is of my #10, drawbar bolts to the channel. To put a drawbar on my 80, I used a piece of flat stock wide enough to use two square "U" bolts astraddle of the tongue & long enough to bolt a 3/8" x 1-1/4" drawbar behind the axle. You won't be able to get full tilt with this set-up, I use them for parades. ~~ grnspot
