Not wanting to post these photos on coldwater thread ,decided to start a new thread. Made these 3 shelfs and 3 others I didn't take photos for grandsons and grandaughter .
Boards are from the old house our neighbors son had torn torn this past spring. All boards are close to a 100 yrs old. Had to router them all down some were 1/8-1/4" off in thickness and on the wider base boards close to 1/2" difference in width.
We had boughten a shelf like the grandaughters so I had some idea as to what I wanted to make.
First two photos were the grandsons and last 4 just finished making for the grandaughter. While taking photos noticed I need to touch up a few places between the slats. Now started making the second stand up coat rack for the oldest daughter.

Those are beautiful! The grain in the lumber is fantastic and I'm sure everyone will very proud to have them, especially considering the source of the lumber.
