70 is forecasted for the next week. One forecaster said it will be like this the next 2 weeks. Most of the snow is gone. We have broken several high temp records. Tuesday I put my 7hp JD 524 into the back of my parked F250. I'm guessing it won't blow any more snow until the end of 2012.

You do know you are tempting fate and daring Mother Nature to teach us all a lesson, don't you?
I sure hope you are safe from any accumulating snow. We, too, have high temps here in IL and are expecting 80 today. Such temp swings make for some violent storms, tho, so let's all keep safety in mind when weather watches or alerts are announced! Happy Spring!

Yup .. me too.
It's in the barn and I took the battery out and put it in the forklift so it's ready for the summer.

Yep, took the blower off the Cub last week. Used it a total of 1 day this season. Sad. Oh well, now I can start the rebuild on it.

I feel that I am to blame for the nice weather here in Mo.. I went thru my old Dynamark snowthrower last fall. New belts, new carb, fuel line & shutoff valve, you know the works. Only had to use it once for a skiff of snow that melted that afternoon. I guess I could look at it as cheap insurance concerning snowfall. Sure as heck if I had not worked on that Dynamark we would have had a blizzard.

I too took the blower and chains of my LT last week and put them away, doxer blade stays on the Sears 16 though. Poor ole tractor only got started twice all winter and never got worked.
It got worked though last weekend dethatching and sweeping yard and I also got blades sharpened and deck ready to go back on. Funny, this was probably the first winter I had blower on and ready before snow season, I'm usually scrambling while there is 5" if snow on the ground, .....and we only got 1 1/2" all winter. I'm ready for Spring!!!!

I spent a bunch of time last year repairing a busted keyway on my snowblower's jackshaft. I had the job completed in plenty of time for winter. The snowblower has been sitting on the floor of my shed since.
I have often told my wife that I have a variety of super-powers. Apparently the ability to deflect snowstorms is one of them. Who would have guessed? |

I never set my attachment up, and only had to shovel twice.
Of course, bragging about putting the stuff away already is setting us all up for a nasty surprise in April... Mike |

Now, stop doing the 'snow dance', guys. Enough is enough.
I've got an excuse to remove my chains and wheel weights, this weekend. I gotz a rear flat tire on 2 of the snow pushers. I know, I could just take the tires off and put the spare set on, but the color of the hubs would then clash. It just looks more 'professional' lying on the driveway, a jack under the rear end, with tire pump in hand, not to mention the cutoff t-shirt and shorts. Wake me up in a couple hours......zzzzzzzzzzz |

I am joining the club here in SW Ohio.
I never once use my snowblower or plow...not once! I did use a broom once and a shovel to clean a door mat...that was it! i guess it is like insurance...it is great to have when needed but unlike insurance, it is fun to use too!
