I thought it was "prairie gold". Might be mixing that up with something else, though.

My Ford came with a Minneappolis deck (kind of clashes). never saw a White version though.

While we are talking variations..did they have an Oliver version of this, or was it the other verticle shaft verion only?

The Minnies and Olivers are rare but this one is so rare I've never even seen a picture of one before. I think Oliver and White joined together but it must have been sometime after this tractor was built.
I think you had better do some research before you do anything to it;
maybe it should be a museum piece?

I may be getting lucky on this aspect. I found a White made by Jake with a Jake Deck and snowblower. But the tractor itself is white. Wish me luck. And Nice Tractor! looks great!

I know I'm a little late chiming in on this but I didn't notice that they added a Jacobsen sub-group to this site till now - great addition!

Congrats on the nice White. I had a '69' or '70' White hydro 114 years ago - same as a Jake 1450 or Ford 140. I never realized how rare they were and I dismantled it for parts, scrapping most of it . I replaced that with a Jake 1450 and now have 2 running 1450's, with another for parts. I'll have to see if I even have a picture of it.

The late 60's Fords, Olivers, Minneapolis-Molines, and Whites were all of the same mold made by Jacobsen. The colors and decals were the only difference.

Hi all I don't mean to rob your post but I think I got one of these tractors last week. If you are interested in more pics and history see this thread on the MTD site. I was told it is a White made by Jacobsen. http://www.mytractorforum.com/showthread.php?t=206125

Indeed they are the rarer of the Jacobsen built tractors. I have a Ford 120. Would love to own the others, especially the white. The Jakes are plenty, the Fords you see a bit, the Mini Mo you see even less, once in a while the T and C pops up, and even less you see the oliver. There was also a Cockshutt made by jacobsen.

Nice find

Yes these tractors were actually produced. I had a White 114 Town and Country that was almost the twin of the op's 112 White. I've also seen pics of others. The worst thing is that I parted it out, not knowing how rare they are. Still have some of the parts left that I use for my 2 1970 Jac. 1450 Super Chiefs, which are identical to the White 114, except for paint and decals.

That 112 looks to be in excellent shape...nice find!

I had a chance to buy on of these a year or so ago I believe it was a 112 or 1200 what ever the 12hp whites were. I've been kicking myself ever since.

Yes Jac built tractor for ford and mm.They built the white version for one year.They are rare.They built oliver in 1972 for one year.There was around 400 produced.There was red version made for canada they are even more rare.These are often considered cockshutt,but they are labeled town and countrys,There was no cockshutt tractors made.If they where made they where made by the dealers.When jac made tractors for other companies the model numbers are differrent.I have a few mm and fords, jacs, and town and country.I hope this helps.I will post some pictures later on.
