Finally got the 24 running and the right cylinder is leaking oil into the cylinder and it fouled the plug to the point that I couldn't tune it. The right side is fine with a nice tan plug. The front crank seal is leaking also so I will need to replace that too. Is this the correct seal for the PTO end? 509-0041 Rear Main Seal CCK, MCCK B, P & N Series. Can you give me a quote on a set of rings, head gasket, and this seal? Thanks. I was looking at Onan's site and they want $35 for the ring set, $13 for the seal and $13 for the head gasket.

twofitu@gmail.com - thanks for the manual, all I've got is the Sears manual and it has only very basic maintenance.

Hi, I have a John Deere 318 with a P218g that has a broken starter mount on the block, I posted my issue on the Jd forum page for help and what I have done so far is purchase an oil pan and dipstick from a B43 and a B43 inertia style starter that bolts to the oil pan.have oil pan on, starter aligned, but starter will not turn engine over with the spark plugs in. I had the starter (onan) checked out at repair shop and a bushing was replaced, took back and repair shop said bushing was still tight going to pick up tomorrow.should this starter work ok with my engine, even if I have to buy a new one. thank you for your help

Hi, i was wondering if by using the factory adapter there is any reason I couldn't use a Nikki carb on my B48M. They are sure a lot easier find and way cheaper.
    Thanks,
    Randy

I am in the process of changing the engine in my 318,it had a B43 and I found a motor out of a Sears tractor so I rebuilt it and put it in the frame and the starter would not turn the engine over so I took it out and it mounts different than the B43,after a lot of research I thought it might be Linamar but after more research I think it is a G model 218 with a 191-1828 starter. What was the "g" model difference?
