If you get a hole in the hydraulic line will that affect the dumping? I have a small leak in the line and the dumper does not dump. It only goes up a feet or 2 before it stops. I have a 955 JD tractor. I do not want to replace the line if this is not the problem. rather save my money for now. Thnaks

Hi welcome to MTF!
I would think so! If it's leaking the oil level is probably low so it will only go as far as it can.
Is the leak in the hose itself? If it's a small hole you could try covering it with a piece of rubber hose and tighten a radiator clamp around the hose over the line so that the clamp is directly over the spot that leaks. Fill up the oil and try it. Just don't force it past the stops or you may get soaked in oil. If it works better than before that's the problem.

Thanks for the welcome! I will try to do that. I don't know if this will work as the hole is just under the knuckle/connector. I just spent 700 on my plow and 1200 on my truck. I will call JD today and see what the line/hose will cost me. Funds a little low and with gas going up I may have to wait a bit. Thanks again
