I wonder what I can do to fix the cutoff switch on my Regent. You are supposed to be able to set the parking brake and get off of the tractor (like to open a gate) without the tractor dying. It worked a time or two when I first got it (July of this year), but now it doesn't. Anytime I get off of the tractor, it dies (parking brake set or not).
The dealer is an hour and, more importantly, a 20 dollar fuel cost away.
Thanks,
Randy

thats tough.. (my dealer is 45 minutes away.. its sort of a pain)
do you think its a faulty seat sensor?
id email simplicity and get a part #.. actually id email them and ask what they think it would be.. ive bothered them many times and they are pretty helpful..
but they wont sell directly to you you still have to go through a dealer...
maybe try jacks, as they are a simplicity dealer (i think)

The last time I emailed a question, I got a call from a real live factory guy. He was very helpful.

Maybe it's just an adjustment problem. You might want to check and make sure the parking break is moving the switch properly.

I have a Regent, and IIRC, there was a safety recall to fix faulty sensors. I think mine was fixed by my dealer 6 months ago. Check with your dealer, or simplicity.
