How do you subscribe to a thread

How do you subscribe to a thread. I tried to subscribe but it never says anything new has been published. I guess I am doing something wrong.

do you see thread tools above your post? click on that and subscribe is a pulldown

After you subscribe to threads, there are some management tools in User CP, Edit Options and Subscribed Threads in that menu.

I guess I am still doing something wrong. I used that feature but if you go to user cp and look under scribed threads. The ones' i subscribed to using the tool function aren't there.

When you click on the Thread Tools, with the thread you want to subscribe to open, click on the Subscribe button. You should be taken to a screen that allows you to select a notification method and there is a small button at the bottom center of that window that says Add Subscription. Click and you should see your thread.
