Here's something the young and old may enjoy. You can download and run the NYC subway #7 Flushing Line in BVE. There are other routes available but this is the easiest to download and run.
Start by downloading and installing BVE version 2 software at http://mackoy.cool.ne.jp/

Then go here and scroll down until you come to the link to download the 7 line and then install it.

I don’t want you to feel I’m not appreciative of your posting this BUT:

“IT'S NOT MY JOB TO RUN THE TRAIN, THE WHISTLE I CAN'T BLOW,
IT'S NOT FOR ME TO SAY HOW FAR THE TRAIN'S ALLOWED TO GO,
I'M NOT ALLOWED TO BLOW OFF STEAM, NOR EVEN CLANG THE BELL,
BUT LET THE DAMN THING JUMP THE TRACK AND SEE WHO CATCHES HELL.”

So did anyone try it? I thought maybe the kids might like it. At least there's no killing and bloodshed like other video games. Much easier than building a layout.

ps
you can blow the horn! The famous sound of the klaxon on the infamous redbirds which are now part of a reef in the atlantic ocean. It also has full train sounds and station announcements. Even the air brakes release and the wheels screech around curves.

Are you Kidding.
Everything is in Japanese !!!
I click on ENGLISH and the page refreshes to the word WINDOWS in a
sea of Japanese writing. I downloaded the 2.6 version but it won't install.
What am I doing wrong ? :fing20:

First you need to download the bve software from the mackoy link. If you just install this you will get a japanese train with a route called uchibo. After that is setup download and install the #7 line from that second link. Then when you open bve, click on the route or railway folder and then when flushingline appears in the box below click on that. That should load the starting point shown above in the screenshot.

I'm on the radio to the trains, the train dispatcher and others: ALL the time I'm at work.
On a system gang for the U.P. On eight straight days, 10-11 or 12 hour days, then off for seven.
Flagging the trains for my 40 man gang, contractors and other system gangs or division personel.
The radio is always going off, some train personal talk so soft that I
raise the volume up-wham the next train blows out your ear drums.
When we install concrete switches, then the radio is very quiet.
Fleet a few west then fleet a few east. Got time then to visit the porta-pot.
Great site, still having fun!!!!
