Topdj,

So it's fully adjustable smoothly from full top to bottom limits? Kewl. How long did it take and how much? Details?

Looks good.

its real easy to do , I used a 4 inch Actuator Warn brand, I still have 3 left
I bought a case of them to play with :). the left knob and the right handle are gone.

I used a snowbear revseing switch or you can use a wnich switch
even a center off DPDT switch will do

Could you post a picture of where the actuator mounts on the deck and GT frame? I'd really like to do this to my GT5k.

Thanks in advance,
BTH

Very nice job, Topdj...:fing02:

If you have any more pictures detailing the actuator installation, it would be great to see them! I want to get rid of that d@mn lever too!

Also, your source for the actuators if you would please!

Thanks!

mounts to the steel piece on the handle shaft, and the back side mounts to the left frame , tire must come off I used 9/16 bolts and nylocks with washers.
you have to drill the hole as to not allow the deck pulley hitting frame when full up

Topdj,

Do you change actuators (or move this one) when you use the power sleeve itch shown in your other thread? It looks like the actuators occupy the same area.

no I have one for each deck one is facing forward and sleeve is facing backwards. the left bolt is the front one and right is the rear one

Have to bring this thread back to the top :bump9: ...I need more photos and info please :00000057: ! Also how much you want for an actuator :trink40: . If it lifts the deck, it will lift the plow :bannana: !

yup 4" 500lb lift :) 125.00 only one hole to drill , the hole for the piston end of the actuator is on the lift shaft, the motor end goes on the frame with 9/16" bolt and a bunch of washers/ nylock nut. also take the fine adjustment knob off the tractor
and the slot machine arm off you dont need it any more :)

Topdj...I tried to PM this message to you but your box was full...

Hey Topdj...
Finally got that electric actuator finally on my DGT! It is slick!!! It was a little iffy trying to figure out exactly where to drill the mounting hole and some brainstorming figuring out the hardware.. but WOW...it's great. I can't believe that isn't offered by AYP/Sears/Husqvarna as a standard …with the arm that is on the lift shaft and the connector for the electric lift in the wiring system it appears they must have had some idea for this. I used the infinite adjustment hole to mount the up/down dpdt switch. I have to admit, between you and Splicer and the two posts which gave the instructions...I got enough guts to try it. Thanks for the actuator as well. I wanted to send you a little gift as a Thank-you as I couldn’t have done it without the info, the actuator and the encouragement. If you send me your address, I'll get it to you right away. Thanks again! Mark Calhoun (aka DGT6000)

I think the actuator connector in the wiring harness is for the rear sleeve hitch actuator option. I hope you wired a fuse inline. It does need it. I used a 15 Amp fuse and while working with the blade I blew the fuse. Come to find that the fuse size needs to be 30amps. Have'nt blown anything yet...We want pictures as well!!! :fing32:

Good to know you did that too! I didn't "up" the fuse yet to 30 but I put in a 20 amp and have been watching I don't dead end the cyclinder in the full stroke position up...that's when it blew! Anyway... it never blew with the blade on...only the deck and I think I may just set the height and put a second switch under the hood so it can't be tampered with as my kids and wife all think I cut the grass way to high.

Oh and I need and avatar so, one day when I catchup here in late spring early summer, I'll clean both of them up, take pictures and post them.

I use those 20 amp circuit breakers, you can get them out of cars at the junk yard
they look like a fuse but have a metal cover. Good part is they reset in 10-20 seconds

Good Idea... I didn't hink of that... I'll get one. I guess 20 amp is OK. Splicer said he went to a 30 amp fuse. :omg:

I know this thread is old, but someone else may be up late with nothing to do but read old threads like myself.
This would also lift the front dozer blade since it is lifted by the same mechanism, would it not?

yes sir it would

That is an awesome set-up, very professionally done. Did you add the silkscreen decal/labeling next to the switch on the dash?
