Bobcat 463 cranks smokes but no start

Ok I work for the NPS and I am trying to save the taxpayers money. We have this bobcat 463 skid steer loader.and my superviser loaned it out to the B&U crew and they had it for a few weeks they sayed it started blowing smoke and it was hard to start but they still forsed it to work now it does not start and smokes when you crank it I drained the fuel tank and bleeded the injector pump a few quarts. and it still does not want to start. any ideas? and the motor is a 17.5kw Kubota and its 1 1/2 years old.

I have been reading outher posts on deisel engines with smillar problems so I think its injector timeing kina strange for something with 80 hours on it but it is a kuba motor !! Thanks

Operater head space the aux lever was on so the pump put to much strain on the starter. Now it runs fine its nice to save uncle sam some dollars
