I cleaned the carb on a tecumseh carb thought the inlet fuel fitting screawed off but ended up pulling it off. Was just a plastic fitting on a pressed in metal piece. Anyone know how this can be fixed. Can I pull out the metal insert and get a new fitting and all?

Well read the manual I found and have to tap the inside of the fitting with a 1/4 x 20 and press it out. Now I have to do that got the numbers off the carb as well anyone know where to convert it to a part number? 1463 J2P

On tecumseh float carbs, I just push that nylon fuel inlet back onto the little opening on the carb, haven't had any leaks but maybe yours is different?

well got it pulled out couldn't use a 1/4 x 20 but a 10x32 worked better. Local shop had a new fitting $6.03 pressed it in and got new gasket to mount the carb as well. Also anyone used the gator blades? Picked one up for my snapper push mower to give it a try.

I have heard nothing but good about gator blades, the best leaf mulcher and a good all around blade. It's heavier I believe and seems to last longer, stays sharper longer.

Then I might have to buy them for my 44" craftsman and my new aquired murray 30".

gator blades are great they are almost twice the weight. I had a friend mount a set at my urgeing and they work great. Really nice cut and small clippings
