Just got it on earth day and I will say it blows my gas powered mower away by far in many ways. I got the 6.3 model and it has the power to go though thick grass with no problems at all. It takes 8-16 hours to charge ($.10 a charge) and you get just over a hour of use before battery die's. A spare battery is a good idea if you have more than an hour to mow. Here's a picture of it.

If anyone is interested here's a link to the website for the Neuton.

DR sells them for $499. The battery is 36 volts ($100). Looks like a nice alternative to gas, and it's quiet.:thThumbsU

What kind of fuel does your local electric power company's generating station use? Speaking just for myself, I hope this os one area of "progress" that dies a borning...along with plug in electric cars.

I think it is a great idea. I'm wondering about the 36 volt battery though. I can't believe it is a standard off the shelf item. Never had the call to look for one though. I also don't think 5 years is the norm for battery life. I know now there are people out there that will swear they got 25 years out of their last D cell but I am talking about the norm. I wonder the price for that battery.
