Anyone have a rough idea what these are worth? I think it's a '98 model with very low hours. I'm thinking $400-500?

That cleaned up nice, great job.
I think your price range is pretty much accurate as long as it runs and cuts good.

It cleaned up very nice. You should be able to get that out of it.

Runs and cuts GREAT!
Shoulda seen the crap that came out of the engine when it started!! I sprayed the carb throat with carb cleaner and let it sit for a few hours, then poured new gas in the throat, pulled the plugs and shot some WD-40 in and some motor oil. Drained the old oil and put some left over crap oil in it to get it churned over. Drained that oil once warm and put in some good oil.
That carb cleaner and WD-40 sure did the trick!! Crap blew out for about 30 seconds. It actually started up pretty easily. Gotta love those Briggs and Stratton engines.
Gotta a be a great place to look for an engine for a project because all of those B&S engines will outlast all these Murrays.

Got another one. An 18hp 46" deck with Auto drive. This one is a little rougher in the body but the engine, deck and drive would make it nice to have. Pics to come.........

I've seen a lot of recent Craftsman LTs around here for sale for in the $500-600 range. An older Murray, I'm not sure you'd get much more than $400 out of it.
I took my '03 Murray from my boss at work to fix up and sell, and we'd split it halfway. After looking at the tractor, and looking at prices, I didn't think I'd be able to get more than $300-350 out of it, so I asked him if I could just buy out his half, and he took $150 for it.

Nice work.
How many hours do you put into these to get them from BEAST to beauty status?

This one has very low hours(although no proof of such). But if it doesn't sell quickly I will have to drop price.
