Considering buying this rig, It will have a FEL (lifts 480 lbs) and a 6 foot belly mower. Any pros or cons for this rig? Dealer has just started a sale. They want 11k for it.

6' belly mower? Didn't think the BX2230 would be quite big enough for that. But if it is, then that would be great.

That seems like a really good deal, at least compared to what you would have to pay for similarly equipped a JD 2210. I've looked at a 2230 and read owner's postings about them, and from what I gathered, it is a really good machine. Came down to ergonomics and dealer for me. YMMV

I don't think you can go wrong with the Kubota, if that is what you want. :fing02:

Mow, last summer a JD dealer was advertising a 2210 with fel and a 62" belly mower for $11,999.00. I thought that was a heck of a deal. I really like those 2210s. I've heard nothing but good things about Kubotas, but i know very little about them and there is a dealer less than a mile from my house. My ex boss bought a new 2910 with a 6' belly mower a couple of summers ago and loves it. :fing02:

That is a good deal on the 2210, Durwood. Still a lot of money for smaller machine, but I bought mine with the intention of keeping it a long time and knowing I won't take too bad a resale hit if I ever do get rid of it.

150 hours or so with no problems. Other than running over a stump while mowing. :fing20:

Freebird, my son-in-law bought a BX2230 last fall mainley to handle his sloped yard around his house and he really likes it. It's got a 60" belly mower and he plans on getting a FEL for it this summer I think. Wants to do some landscaping and it will double for snow removal next winter. Good luck in what ever you decide :).

Well, the weather turned out nice so we stayed home and I got some seat time on the cub and moved/leveled dirt with the back blade so the wife could plant 60 bulbs she needed to get in the ground. I was just about to put the plow on and do the vegetable garden and the rain hit. now I gotta get to the dump and back before the nascar race today!

Well. yes we did. Oh, she liked it. I am holding off for now though. I don't have the shop built yet to store it in. 350/mo for 3 years and 1600 down kinda ties things up. If only I could find a belly mower for the cub locally sigh.

Have you checked E-bay and maybe the gray market dealers? I know of a guy down in Kent that is a gray dealer and he has alot of strange stuff used and his prices are not to bad.

Yes, all the ones on ebay are always east coast and shipping is $$$$! I have never heard of Gray dealers? I assume they carry a bunch of stuff...odds and ends? I would be interested in hearing/seeing more.
