View Full Version : Oliver Super 88
here it is on the back of the trailer diesel row crop 88 2nd pic is tin removed washing grease off
wash off more years of grease
fixing the #1 reason for all the oil spread all over (rear seal) #2 reason was wetstack diesel out the exhuast valves were stuck on 2 cylynders
pic #2 clutch pushrod had wore through the release brg holder wich was the cause of poor shifting a little welding and that problem is fixed

Looks like your doing it right, Bear. Must be you have a good warm shop, to be painting with snow outside. I'm re-doing my Row Crop 77, but I'm waiting for 70* weather, before I can paint.

looks like a fine project
here it sits outside waiting for a good day to sandblast it 2nd pic is the tank after the leak was soldered
the seat was in bad shape rubbers were shot pins needed to be built up and bushings made
arms after the teeth had been built up and filed they were wore enough they just slipped past each other bushings still need to be welded in in this pic
and the finished product who would have thouhgt you could spend that much time on a seat
finally got it out of the snowbank that covered it sandblasted and into the shop
trying to remember where this piece and all the other ones go
looks like I'm finding places for all the pieces
time for problems after lining up all the tin the rad cap cover won't close someone sometime has soldered an automotive style cap opening on likely the reason the cover was missing off of this tractor :Disgus: ....so off with all the tin again melt the solder off the add on a little cleanup and an original style Oliver cap fits and now its all back together and lined up with even more little scratches and the cover closes
Another nice job from our brother in the North! Bear you do more with your time than most people. How many tractors do you rebuild a year?
