can you tell us the spec for the snowblower motor ?

The motor is a very hefty series wound, with a speed limiting winding. General consensus of opinion is the motor is around 2.5 hp @ 3100 rpm running on 36volt dc.

Some other guys have it figured at closer to 4 hp based on amperage draw.

The motor is approx 6.5 inches diameter by about 11 inches long, and it is HEAVY ! 50-60 lbs. if I remember correctly.

The snowthrowers are either chain and sprocket driven, or double pulley belt driven, depending on age. Most are 42" ( that's what is being used in the video) or 36(?) inch for the small frame tractors.

The whole snowthrower weighs in the neighborhood of 290 lbs, so it is necessary to have added weight on the rear of the tractor, just to steer the thing.

Hi

Thanks a bunch for the video. I knew that electric tractors had been produced by GE but have never seen one in person. It is good to see one in action.
