The tree is 44ft to the forks, the star is about 10ft tip to tip. The tree uses 60 strings of lights which are split into 28 channels to animated spinning, chasing, etc. It changes every night. I think next year we'll do several tree's and skip some of the equipment we do.

I think Abbottstown is putting up a few this year, but Elizabethtown has all the stuff thats computer controlled.

wow very nice.

Are you referring to last years pictures as I haven't seen the ones of this years as they said they were going to post on 11/27/09 post #17.

I am visiting my Daughter and Husband who live in Lancaster. Went to Hershey this afternoon and drove by Messicks tonight and saw that BIG light tree!! Was gonna comment on it with a new thread but saw this. Pretty neat to see someone who advertises where you hang out. Way to go Messicks!!

Grabbed my camera and then picked up my granddaughter and headed to Messicks to see the Christmas lights. I was going to take a movie and some pics, download them to my photobucket account and then post the link here so everyone could get a look at the display. When I got there....no lights! :sorry1: I felt bad for my granddaughter. I must have apologized 1000 times to her! We drove around and looked at other Christmas lights. Oh well there's always next year hopefully! :trink39:
