Such a short visit - Chloe

She was real playful. Loved to cuddle at my legs at night. Always sat with Herbanjo at the computer in the evenings but now she is in heaven. She never really ate much and was kinda fat. We thought it was just the new place and getting used to things. Then she ate/drank/litterbox much less. Herbanjo took her to our vet and bloodwork was taken. the results came back with staggering results. A value for one test should read around 40, instead it was reading over 400. Other readings that should be around 80 were coming back around 720. All signs pointed to liver failure. The vet even pointed out in the medical records that she had bouts of liver problems in the past. We were able to take her back and exchange but that is another story I will post later. Poor Chloe she loved and was loved at the end. As hard as it is to lose a family pet, try and remember that you made her last weeks special.

freebird, this forum was so great when we put our dog down in May. Lots of prayers came and I really think it helped us heal... we never forget, we talk about Abby more now than ever. Just tonight, my 6 year old told me how she missed her. Its tough. Sometimes we shed a tear, but most times its just good conversations and smiles. My thoughts are with you.
