Ford 3550

My father recently obtained a Ford 3550 with front-end loader and backhoe. We would like to know where to look for the serial number on this tractor.

Not for sure on this model, but try directly under dash area, one both sides of engine block (lower areas) and in pto area. On modern units will be an engraved plate.

From my understanding there is a data plate under the hood of the tractor that should have the information about the tractor. Exactly where, I am not sure. Take a looksee and let us know what you find.

It is on the right hand side of the transmission housing on the flat surface directly behind the starter. HTH Dana
