Don just want to say:thanku: for the Amsoil for 2 stroke. I have been using it and I think I see a definite difference between the amsoil and what I have used in the past. The only down side, if it is one, is it smokes a little more til warmed up. But the performance difference is enough to where I will keep using it once I am done with the current fuel and oil I have left.
I'll detail it out later if anyone wants, am limited on time at the moment

Hey Don

I have some time now so can tell you how it responded in my mower.

The last two times I mowed I used Amsoil. Each time the St Augustine was very deep (at least 6") and thick. The OAT was @90°F and then @70° those days.
Both times the mower smoked a bit more on start and during warm up (it seemed) than with the previous oils I used, but that lasted about the same amount of time before it ran clean.
I had no surging at all through all throttle movement and while cutting! Before I would have slight surge when I brought the mower to a stop to change directions.
When I hit the heavy grass, the engine never bogged or slowed in the slightest, which it did very slightly before (gotta love the two stroke torque!) but it was noticeably smoother sounding and kept up the RPM's.

I dont know whats different in the Saber but it seems to work real well in the two stroke. I haven't looked in the cylinder or checked the plug but I am not too worried about it, based on hiw it performed.

I remember when I first came across Amsoil in the 80s and thought it was snake oil (thought it was somehow related to Amway:biglaugh: which I found out different). I have never known anyone who used it personally and never tried it myself, but now I think I will try to keep using it.
So - thank you

"Are you running it at 100:1?"
