My friend is looking for a powered cart of some sort. He's got a garage way above his house on steep ground and is looking for something like this to haul firewood so he doesn't do himself harm on the hill.

I found a picture, but it's not very large. It's of a Honda Power Carrier - I remember seeing ONE, ONCE. They came out a while ago and they seem to be pretty rare. He saw one on eBay once but it was all the way in the other corner of the country.

I think these came out slightly after Star Wars was playing in the theaters and we were jokingly calling it the "Cart Droid." As with most Honda stuff, it wasn't cheap then, either.

My friend lives in Oregon but is open to any ideas for similar products. I said, "Hey, I know JUST the perfect place to ask about something like this!

Can you folks help?

:thanku:

Haven't seen one, but I think he could make a nice one out of a tractor chassis, I will find the link to the one another member made.

DR used to advertise them on TV. It had handle bars and you walked behind it...?

I saw those DR carts, they have cement blocks under the dump bed over the drive axle for traction. when there is a load, one loses the weight capacity due to the blocks that if it was well designed, it would need no cement blocks. That's just my opinion.

Seems like it's something that would be easy to make from a old two wheel tractor, or a old snowblower.

From the "Muck Truck" website:

"First with the Concept. First with the design. First in the Worldwide Market."

They've obviously never been near a uranium mine.:D I like that design, the load is centered nicely and the center of gravity is low.

Thanks guys!

I forwarded the link to him with the Honda Cart Droid for 5600 quid in Australia. Made mention that the shipping might be a bit steep.:fing32:

The Muck-Truck looks like a great idea; I'll have to see what he says.

Thanks!
