Howdy Kioti fans!
I need a new CUT, my workhorse '63 Ford 4000 lost the tranny (breaks my heart) and I've been going back and forth between sinking the $ back into that or maybe upgrading a bit...
I've had some "friendly talks" with a neighbor that has got an '07 DK45S Cab, FEL (~150 hrs) he's thinking of selling and it got me looking into the Kioti's... I must say, I wasn't real familiar with them but I've been researching hard and I can't a single bad review. Are the Kioti's really that awesome a tractor? (I don't want a cheap tractor by any means, but why pay the $ premium for a Big Green/Blue/Orange if these guys are just as solid (or better!)? ;)
Before I make the neighbor an offer, I called a local dealer (Ft. Worth) and checked on new ones... same specs - DK45S, Cab, FEL - new '08 is $27,700 "neg., -$1k for cash". I'm guessing $26k'ish cash could drive one off the lot? (Not that i have that much handy cash, but for comparison the neighbor isn't going to finance either. lol)
1) Is that a good "new" price, or could I do better if I shopped another dealer or two?
2) What should I offer the neighbor? I'd take it for $17-18, but I'm guessing he's going to want more like $20-22k which would seem a bit much to me. What would y'alls limit be?
Thanks in advance, have a great day!
