Anyone know what's going on. Was looking at tractors over on Ebay and I see several listings that seem to goo to be true. The listings seemed different and the same. Different tractors, different sellers BUT all seemed to be low hr late model offerings, same to good to be true price, $3500 with delivery, Have to be pre-approved to bid AND said can't ask seller a question through ebay system and have to email directly to another email address.

Saw several others earlier today under the home/garden listings that were featured items. Later I couldn't find these two again.

Anyone know if these were bogus/fraudulent offerings? Sellers seemed to have a good long term history with ebay.

Most likely the sellers I.D. got hijacked...they caught it and the auction was removed.

:ditto: Sad but true, unfortunately.

All this Internet fraud be it ebay or bilking people out of their money through emails is sickening. There ought to be automatic jail time for this kind of behavior, IMO, so these scumbags think twice before they do these kinds of things.

Does look like fraud. Went back a little while ago and at least one of these offerings is gone. With another, the real account holder had edited and said FRAUD DON'T BID. 15 min later the offer was back as originally posted. Another listing for a late model JD (large) and was $3500 like the other listings.

Wouldn't you like to find the party doing this. Get the rope out and we'll hang-um by their manhood.

There are definitely a lot of these bogus listings. Have noticed them too as I recently have been shopping on e-bay. One of the easiest ways to spot these bogus listings (aside from the super-duper deal) is to watch further down the listing where it says that the lister is having trouble with his e-mail and not to use the "contact seller" link and then gives you an alternate e-mail address.

I wanted to go look at one that was being offered close to me but was suspicious. I went to view sellers other offerings and used that page to contact the seller. He e-mailed back right away and said that his name was being used illegally, and he was contacting e-bay about it. The listing disappeared quickly.

Don't know what to tell you otherwise. Just be careful and do your research. Since I found out what they were doing, I've actually reported about a dozen to e-bays security link and sure enough they have disappeared.

Last week I was watching two Tow trucks , one was from AZ. it had buy it now for 24,000 , two days later it was buy now for 19,000 , three hours before the time was up, it was up to 13,000 . then I tryed to bring it up , and it said can not open this page , then I found where it said ,, the bids have exceeded the buy it now price , so it was closed . Is that a normal thing ??

There is a big time fraud going on with that right now!! If you ever receive an e-mail saying that they will sell you an almost new tractor for 3500 and deliver it IT IS A FRAUD!! If it looks to good to be true then it most likely is (in most situations) now someime there is legit offers that are good but make sure that they accept a secure way of paying like paypal.
