I just purchased a Mitsu 1650D and I am going through the process of getting it back in good shape. I have cleaned up the engine and had the radiator rodded out and I am now to the point of doing the lubrications. I have read that I need to find Diesel 15W45 rated C oil but I can't find what oil filter I need to get.
Also, I could use some help with the other fluids although under the cowl it tells me what weight to use but I don't know what the levels should be.
Any help from you Vets would certainly be appreciated.
Oh, yea, by the way I am going to need the rear tires sometime in the near future so if anyone has a good source that would be great.
Thanks,

I went to the Wix filters site, and they don't list a 1650D.
They do list a D1550 however.
The filters it uses are-
20 MM X 1.5 MM threads 8-11 PSI Bypass Gasket 2.475"OD 2.173"ID 0.233" thick.
Length" Wix Purolator Hastings Honda Baldwin JD AC MotorCraft Walmart
(3.25" OD) 3.2" 51334 L14459 LF461 15400PCX004 B1421 AM101378 PF1127 FL803 ST3593A
(Fit's a lot of Hondas & other applications)
IF that seems to be the right filter, A Wix 51344 is a 4.1" long version of the same. (NAPA 1344)
20MM is 0.787"

Thanks Bill,
I was told that there was a Honda filter that would fit so I suspect you are right on target. I will go get one test it out.
By the way, on the fluids that go into the transmission and PTO, should I have them filled up close to the top or what because there is not a dip stick to measure anything.
Thanks again,

What type of motor does it have? 2 or 3 cylinder? What is stamped on the engine block?

Hello Jerry and WELCOME to MTF.
Sorry, somehow missed your first post and glad Bill is helping out.
Do you have an engine number? It sure would help out for cross referencing Mitsubishi filters lookup.
If you don't have a front end loader and have a 3PH only, ususally you allow 1" from the top for all your fluids (to allow for heat expansion) but an owner/shop manual would be better for specific information.
EDIT--- Is your tractor the MB1650 four cylinder?? If so, do these general specifications look familiar?:
MB 1650D 4 WD - 20HP - 4 cylinder - gear drive transmission - Years built 79-80 1885 pounds 98" long,47" wide, "75 tall

Mark,
Yes, I do have a 1980 1650D , 4 Cyl, 20 HP. The only thing I don't have is the 4WD. Under the cowl it calls for 80W Gear Oil and I believe it also calls for 250W for the PTO. I haven't located the 250W but do have the 80W for the Transmission. I have done all the grease joints and changed the Oil (yuck, talk about dirty, it was black). I put in Diesel Oil 15W40.
Any help from you guys on the fluid levels will sure help out, and I did find the oil filter, it is the ST3593A so that is all taken care of. (Thanks Bill)
I am in the process of doing some fiberglass work on the front of the cowl and will be painting this week. I should have her up and running fine shortly.
Thanks to you all for helping out, and I will post some before and after pictures as soon as I get her all together.

For the tires if they are 8.0 X 22 and or 8.3 X 22 I got mine at my local Les Schwab tire center. They are expensive, the 2 rears on my gray market was over $800.00. But will easily last over 25 years. Since it is not likely that you have a Les Schwab tire center just start checking out the various tire dealers that serve your local farmers.
The 8.0 8.3 X 22 are rice tires with a very aggressive thread. If the tires are not loaded with calcium then they do not charge a extra fee to change out the tires for you, the tires are made by Bridgestone.
