I can post some pretty good photos of these two parts, but going through Photo-bucket when your on Dial-up is sooooo frustrating.

My worm gear is worn.
The twin Studs that ride in the worm gear are worn.
The result is a loose steering when the wheel is straight ahead, and very tight when turning.

I'm wondering what we can do to fix this?
Do I have to buy the Worm and the steering shaft with the two studs?

One option would be to knock those two studs out, rotate them 90 Degrees and Re-rivet them back into the Steering shaft.

What do you say? Good news?

Thanks.
Mine's a Tricycle gear, No tie Rods.

I guess a Machine shop is the next stop.

The U-joint and bushing are worn up where the wheel goes into the Dash board. Is that Bushing available?
