are those 4 or 5 things vents on your roof? is that typical since its so hot down there to keep the roof from baking?

Very nice homestead. Looks like you've spent a lot of time keeping it spruced up.

Is that where the '08 MTF Pig Roast will be held?

Know where we could get dinner?? Maybe John Deere Addict could bring the guest of honor, Bonnie Belinda Quinn, (B-B-Q for short)...

The fence looks great!!! And the Mrs' flower bed does, too. It was a bit drier last year, when I was up there.

About the only thing missing is a couple (or 10) of us sitting on the deck there... :fing32:

Nice place, Is that a drilling rig over there a mile or so away? I have an eye for them, since I chased them with an electric logging truck for the first 20 years I worked in the oil patch.
I will bring the potatoe salad for the Barbeque and my knife fork and spoon.

If you come out to the VCCA 32nd annual Swap meet in Traders Village in Grand Prairie tomorrow or Saturday come by my space a few yards behind the office tent, assuming it don't blow away, and sit a while. I will be sitting behind a pewter Tahoe. ( I have a handful of 55-59 Chevy truck door parts I need to get rid of.) but I just mostly hang out.

One thing I noticed is the lack of road ditches on your main road! Where does the water run? Is there a lot of rain there, or does it just soak in?

Very nice place Ken! Looks like a good place to retire! :fing32:

Not much for ditches down here...It either soaks in or massive flooding!!!:banghead3

Nice property you have Ken, too bad your on the other end of the state . Next year my family and I will be traveling to Denver CO. again to see my BIL,SIL and the kids. We'll be taking a road trip to Albuquerque MN. east into Ammarillo TX. and possibly north into Oklahoma and Kansas. Then get back to Denver for our flight home. My daughter has a map of the USA across her wall and we've been putting thumb tacks with photo's on the states we've visited. Pretty fun actually. She's five and knows more geography now than I did in high school. Anyhow it seems you have your work cut out for you with that great spread of land, good thing your retired now. You can wake up in the morning and look in the mirror and say "well boss, what are we up to today"? Take care..

Ken as all the others BUT ............ Could I be so audacious as to suggest assorted garden Gnomes placed strategically to make the lawn mower tractor run a bit more challenging. Perhaps you could create some garden gnome chicanes (ala Formula one style) to really put the Tractor through its paces
